Pawleys Island now accessible to more locations thanks to Breeze Airways expansion
Beginning in 2027, visitors to Pawleys Island will have a dozen new options for affordable flight options.
In recent days, Breeze Airways announced 11 new nonstop routes to and from Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), the closest major airport serving Pawleys Island and the Hammock Coast, and then quickly added a 12th flight to and from Atlantic City, New Jersey. Fares start as little as $49 one way.
“This is a huge moment for … the community we serve,” said Judi Olmstead, MYR’s director of airports. “Our community has embraced Breeze since its arrival in early 2024.” She said that these additions brings Breeze’s nonstop network at MYR to 25 destinations.
From the much-anticipated return of service to and from Boston and Latrobe, the newly added cities makes for an exciting time following the recent bankruptcy and closing of Spirit Airlines, which had been the carrier with the most flights to and from MYR.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to see Breeze grow at MYR,” Olmstead said. “Every route we add to our network starts with the same question: where can Breeze’s direct service bring travelers a convenience they don’t already enjoy today?”

Neeleman noted that the new routes will bring even more visitors to the region, “making affordable travel to and from MYR more convenient than ever.”

- Albany, New York — nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting May 28, 2027, from $69 one way;
- Atlantic City, New Jersey – nonstop on Thursdays and Sundays, from $79 one way;
- Boston, Massachusetts — nonstop daily starting May 4, 2027, from $79 one way;
- Buffalo, New York. — nonstop on Thursdays and Sundays starting July 1, 2027, from $59 one way;
- Burlington, Vermont — nonstop on Thursdays and Sundays starting May 27, 2027, from $79 one way;
- Columbus, Ohio — nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting May 28, 2027, from $59 one way;
- Latrobe, Pennsylvania — nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting Feb. 9, 2027, from $49 one way;
- New Haven, Connecticut — nonstop on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting May 26, 2027, from $59 one way;
- Portland, Maine — nonstop on Thursdays and Sundays starting May 27, 2027, from $79 one way;
- Portsmouth, New Hampshire — nonstop on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting May 26, 2027, from $79 one way;
- Stewart/Newburgh, New York — nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting May 28, 2027, from $59 one way; and
- Syracuse, New York — nonstop on Thursdays and Sundays starting May 27, 2027, from $69 one way.

Since launching at MYR in February 2024 with a single destination, Breeze has grown quickly at MYR. Over the past year, Breeze more than doubled its seats and flights from MYR and carried more than twice as many guests as the year before. With the addition of these 11 routes, Breeze will lead all carriers serving the airport in both destinations served and seats offered by the second quarter of 2027.
