5 reasons Rosie’s Pizzeria is a popular restaurant in Pawleys Island

Rosie’s Pizzeria, with its signature Italian cuisine and laid-back atmosphere, is a popular Pawleys Island restaurant and hangout for locals and visitors alike.

The restaurant, which recently reopened under new ownership in the Pawleys Plaza Shopping Center, features specialty pizzas, strombolis, calzones, wraps, subs, sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes, and more.

Coreen Wilson owns Rosie’s Pizzeria with her husband, Todd Georgiev, who was a former business partner of Rose Misseri, who founded the popular Pawleys Island restaurant. Coreen says people enjoy coming to Rosie’s because it feels easy and comfortable.

“You don’t have to dress up or spend a fortune to get a great meal,” Coreen said. “The food is always good, the prices are fair, and everyone feels welcome.”

Coreen and Todd are honored to continue Rosie’s legacy and to continue the eatery’s hallmark of being

“Whether you’re dining in for the first time or the 50th, just know there’s always a spot for you here,” Coreen said.

So, what makes Rosie’s such a special and popular Pawleys Island restaurant? We have narrowed it down to five reasons: cuisine, atmosphere, entertainment, service, and community involvement.

Cuisine

While most people know Rosie’s for its delicious, handmade pizza, its extensive menu includes much more.

“Pizza is what built our reputation, but what many don’t realize is how much heart goes into everything that comes out of our kitchen,” Coreen said. “We’ve expanded the menu with rotating weekly specials that keep things exciting, and we cook with quality ingredients, generous portions, and a lot of pride.”

She said people who have only tried the pizza may just be missing out.

“Our kitchen has so much more to offer; from our Alfredo and paninis to our pasta and subs, there’s always something new to try,” she said. “And now with our happy hour menu from 2–5 p.m., you can enjoy even more great food at even better prices.”

Rosie’s even has a “$5 Special, which makes a perfect quick – and inexpensive – meal. Anytime before 4 p.m. every day, customers can get a one-topping slice and a drink for just $5. It’s of many specials and great deals the popular Pawleys Island restaurant offers.

Atmosphere

Walking into Rosie’s Pizzeria, the aroma of tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and a variety of spices, is very welcoming, as is the chatter of happy conversation by fellow diners. There’s just something about a pizza place – maybe it’s the anticipation of biting into soft dough, melted cheese and zesty sauce – that makes it automatically feel like a place for families and friends.

Rosie’s is the kind of place where everyone can relax and enjoy a break from the outside world.

“Whether you’re stopping in after the beach, grabbing dinner with your family, or catching a game with friends it’s casual, welcoming, and full of familiar faces,” are very welcomin said.

Service

The staff at Rosie’s believe in treating customers like family, attending to their needs and suggesting menu choices when asked.

“Our staff knows our regulars by name, and we genuinely care about making every visitor feel appreciated,” Coreen said. “Good service isn’t just about being fast, it’s about being kind and consistent.”

Entertainment

While Rosie’s doesn’t offer live music, the owners have recently added four large TVs that stream sports. And, in the South (heck, everywhere), following your favorite team everywhere you are seems to be mandatory.

“Guests can enjoy good food while cheering on their favorite teams,” Coreen said. “It’s become a great gathering spot on game days.”

Community partnerships

Rosie’s works with community partners throughout the year to give back.

“We love supporting our local schools through Spirit Nights, where a portion of sales goes directly back to them,” Coreen said. “Pawleys Island has supported us, and giving back is our way of showing how grateful we are to be part of this community.”
