As one of the oldest summer resorts on the East Coast, Pawleys Island is known as the original beach vacation. While Pawleys island is known best for it’s laid back and relaxing atmosphere, it’s also surrounded by tons of outdoor activities including several great golf courses just off the island. Pawleys Island 4th of July Parade
The Fourth of July Parade on Pawleys Island, South Carolina is a fun community event. Visitors and locals alike parade down the Island in anything that becomes a makeshift float – be it a boat, car, or flatbed truck! All of which are decorated in true red, white, and blue ~ true patriotic fashion! The Pawleys Island Parade is a fun, family tradition on the 4th. To enter a float in the parade, please stop by the Town Hall, 321 Myrtle Avenue, Pawleys Island to fill out an application. The cost to enter is $15 in advance, the day of the parade it is $20. Applications will be available Mondays – Fridays, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. until the day of the parade.

The Guy Osborne Memorial Pawleys Island Turtle Strut 5K – 25th Annual
Annual 5K Run along Pawleys Island. Everyone is invited to join in and the cost to enter is only $25.
NOVEMBER 12 • 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Kayak Race along the island that is sure to entertain. Don’t have a kayak or just not into watersports yourself? It’s always a good spectator event as well and is almost as much fun to watch as to participate. So grab your friends and family and head out to watch as the participants compete for various titles!
